Update from Executive Director of Avita Home Health & Hospice
Cathy Sapp, the Executive Director of Avita Home Health & Hospice, has provided an update in regards to COVID-19:
As you are aware, the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has been declared a Pandemic by the World Health Organization. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has made several requirements pertaining to our at-risk populations and the general health of our state.
Avita Home Health and Hospice is dedicated to the health and safety of its patients and the overall health of the community. We are monitoring this evolving situation and following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and the Ohio Department of Health. We have made necessary in-office precautions to prevent the spread of illness by cancelling all large public events and limiting visitors in the office setting. Our staff are taking every necessary precaution to protect our patients from the spread of illness. We are monitoring our staff closely and continuing to educate them as guidance changes.
Avita Home Health and Hospice will continue to provide home care to the community. We are committed to our vision to be a recognized, accessible, and preferred community provider delivering innovative, quality, compassionate and personalized care. We will continue to provide care and keep our patients in their home as long as clinically possible.
