Pediatrics at Avita

Parents know their own child best. We strive to work as partners with patients and their parents to provide the best medical care available for children from birth to age 18. We are committed to preventative care and patient education.

Minor patients (those under age 18), must be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years or older and must have a Letter of consent for treatment signed by a parent or legal guardian. Exceptions to this policy include treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and birth control management.

We recognize that going to the doctor can be overwhelming, especially when children do not feel well. This leads to anxiety for both the child and parent. Some of our physicians recognize this struggle and have made their offices a place of comfort and ease for children by decorating them in kid-friendly designs and having “sticker stations” in some of the patient rooms.
