Voice & Swallow Clinic
Advanced Treatments to Help You Talk, Swallow, and Breathe Better
Avita’s Voice and Swallow Clinic uses a multidisciplinary approach with state-of-the art technology to diagnose and treat patients with voice, swallowing, and throat problems. Fellowship-trained laryngologist Fernando Morell, MD works with a staff of speech pathologists to evaluate patients and create customized treatment plans. Most of the diagnostic exams, such as endoscopies, can be done in-office and same-day. Depending on the symptoms, imaging or biopsies may be needed.
In the initial appointment, patients will be evaluated by Dr. Morell and a speech pathologist.
- Dr. Morell will diagnose the primary medical concerns and perform any procedures.
- The speech pathologist will complete the diagnostic voice and swallow exams and initiate education, therapy, and intervention.
This team approach gives patients the most comprehensive and collaborative care, creating an environment that promotes healing and greater quality of life.
