Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy preserves, enhances, and restores movement and physical function that has been impaired or threatened by disease, injury, or disability. Our expert physical therapists (PTs) are trained to assess and treat your condition utilizing therapeutic exercise, manual soft tissue interventions, physical modalities (such as ultrasound, vasopneumatic compression, and electrotherapy), assistive devices, and patient education and training to improve your strength, abilities, capabilities, and functional mobility to get back to life pain free.

  • Graston/IASTM Technique – Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (muscle tightness, tendon pain).
  • Dartfish Video Gait Analysis – Analysis of how the feet interact with the surface and how it impacts leg biomechanics and pain issues.
  • Custom Foot Orthotics – Custom inserts in shoes to help correct alignment of feet and legs for pain relief and optimal function of feet.
  • Dry Needling – Introduction of fine needles into soft tissue and joint spaces for pain relief by triggering a response from the central nervous system to heal the affected area.
  • Vestibular/Balance Rehabilitation – Treats vestibular disorders or symptoms, characterized by dizziness, vertigo, and trouble with balance, posture, and vision.
  • Aquatic Therapy – Water-based treatments or exercises of therapeutic intent, in particular for relaxation, fitness, and physical rehabilitation.
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) – A set of tests, practices, and observations used to determine the person’s ability to function in a variety of circumstances, most often employment, in an objective manner.
  • TMJ (Jaw Pain) Therapy – Evaluation and treatment of the neck and head with close ties to the jaw.
  • Lymphedema Therapy – Treatment for swelling that generally occurs in one of the arms or legs. There is no cure, but it can be managed.
  • Pelvic Floor Therapy – Treatment for conditions such as pelvic pain, urinary leakage or incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy related issues, abdominal separation, and chronic back or hip pain. Both men and women of all ages and activity levels can benefit from this specialty program.
  • Bariatric Therapy – Helps manage conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and/or joint pain. Bariatric Optimization Programs allow you to exercise safely and reach your weight loss goals.

Address The Pain

Physical therapy is a great pain management tool if you are looking for a safe and effective alternative to medication. Opioids only mask pain, whereas physical therapists treat pain through exercise and education using a hands-on approach. Here is a list of conditions treated:

  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) – Generally arises from a minor injury, such as a scrape, sprain, or strain and can result in the syndrome that is defined as being complex, regional (symptoms are generally in one region of the body), and painful.
  • Fibromyalgia – A chronic condition that is difficult to diagnose includes symptoms such as widespread chronic pain and fatigue.
  • Chronic Pain – One of the most common symptoms that may lead someone to seek the help of a physical therapist or other healthcare professional.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy Program helps you develop the skills to participate in everyday activities such as dressing yourself, functioning in the kitchen, and getting in and out of the bathtub. Whether you are recovering from an injury, overcoming an illness, or managing a disability, our occupational therapists (OTs) help you gain the skills and knowledge to manage daily life on your own.
