RapidArc treatments are typically completed in less than two minutes, making sessions faster and more comfortable for patients. This efficiency not only reduces time on the treatment table but also minimizes the potential for patient movement, enhancing the precision and safety of care.

Your Radiation Treatment Journey: A Simple 3-Step Process

Your journey begins with a consultation with our nurses and one of our board-certified radiation oncologists. During this visit, we’ll review your diagnosis, explain how radiation therapy works for your specific type of cancer, and answer all your questions. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and confident about your care.

Step 2: Create a Personalized Treatment Plan

Using advanced imaging and planning tools, our team designs a custom treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. During these sessions, which we sometimes call simulations, we carefully map the exact location of your tumor and determine the best type, dose, and schedule of radiation. 

Step 3: Begin Your Treatment

Once your plan is finalized, you’ll start your treatment in our state-of-the-art radiation suite. A member of our team will set up your appointment(s) for the same time each day, Monday through Friday, throughout the course of your treatment. Most treatments are outpatient, painless, and take only a few minutes per session. Our radiation therapists and nurses will be with you every step of the way, ensuring your comfort and care.
