Supporting a Cancer Journey: Brick by Brick
After years of careful planning, building medical expertise and supporting services, and fundraising efforts, our vision of strengthening our ability to help cancer patients close to home is becoming a reality. We are building a new, 20,000 sq. ft. , state-of-the-art cancer center that will bring comprehensive cancer care services closer to home for patients living in Crawford, Richland, and surrounding counties.
Message from Drs. Todd and Becky Strickland – Co-Chairs of the Campaign
We believe in community and Avita. We always come together to help each other; that’s our strength. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in our community. All of us have been affected by the loss of a family member, friend, or colleague. Early detection, complete care, and leading-edge treatments close to home will save lives. When you are talking about building a new cancer center, it’s not just about the bricks, fresh paint, new furniture, or equipment. It’s about building hope – patients accessing care in a new state-of-the-art cancer center where it feels like home and they know they will be taken care of. You can help Avita make its comprehensive cancer center a reality. It’s personal for us. This is why we give.

Purchase a Brick
Avita Health Foundation invites you to support our cancer program by creating a lasting legacy in memory or in honor of a loved one, a colleague, or someone who made a difference in your life.
The Healing & Memorial Gardens at Avita’s Cancer Center and Avita Home Health & Hospice support patients and families throughout the year by offering a peaceful and tranquil place for meditation, to gather thoughts, and process information. A sanctuary for family and friends, these gardens provide a place to wait during patient therapies and treatments in a therapeutic landscape, as well as a place to memorialize loved ones.
When you purchase an engraved brick, paver, or garden bench, countless patients, visitors, and employees will have the opportunity to appreciate and find inspiration from all of the loving and meaningful messages as they visit the Healing & Memorial Gardens.
Gift Recognition Opportunities
Naming opportunities enable donors to the Campaign for Avita to create your legacy, your significant other’s legacy, or your family’s legacy. You can also honor, memorialize, or pay tribute to a special relationship or one with Avita Health System.
View examples of naming opportunities here. This list is updated monthly. All donors to the Campaign for Avita will be listed in alphabetical order on donor walls in each hospital at the conclusion of the campaign. If you would like more information about a specific opportunity, please contact Chuck Cangelosi, Chief Development Officer, at 419-468-0566 or ccangelosi@avitahs.org.
