Hospital Auxiliary Sews Mammography Capes

Members of the Galion Hospital Auxiliary recently made and donated a few dozen sewn capes to the Mammography Center in Galion. Mammography capes are used by patients during their mammograms to increase privacy and comfort. The Galion Hospital Auxiliary began this sewing project because of the on-going costs and demands for the capes. The cape project is a new project for the Auxiliary, and complements the other sewing projects they currently have including abdominal surgery pillows, seasonal baby buntings, inpatient rehab lap robes, and walker bags.

GCH Auxiliary members stitch capes for Mammography Center patients. Seen here, standing from left, are Helen Swain, Patty Rice Groth, Della Kaple, and Beulah Montgomery, seated.
